In this first instructional class, you will learn how to setup your sewing machine, perform at-home routine maintenance and execute basic stitches. Instructor Carol Brooks will walk you through hands-on instruction and help your get familiar with your new sewing machine.
This is a Machine Specific course for the following machines:
- Janome 780 DC
- Janome 740 DC
- Necchi EX30
- Baby Lock Jubilant
- Brother NS80e
In Basics 102C you will learn:
- How to use your navigation panel to set stitches
- How to adjust straight stitch for basting, gathering and altering needle position
- How to alter zig zag stitch for satin stitch, over casting and overedge
- Blind hem stitching and top stitching
- Buttons and buttonholes
- Sewing on a zipper
- Sewing decorative stitches
