We love to help you sew! And in 2021, we are rolling out a new education program with instructional basics, classes to learn sewing, quilting and embroidery techniques and even more specialty and project classes. COVID slowed us down over the past year, but the increase in requests from our customers and community for education have encouraged us to get started!
In November we added our newest team member, CC Coomes. She has taken the reigns of education and events and is working to make 2021 fabulous for our growing sewist community. Look for more information on our website, in our newsletter, on Facebook or coming from firstname.lastname@example.org.
Starting in January, we have a new and improved Sewing Machine Setup & Maintenance 101 class, to help our customers purchasing machines get setup and running. We’re especially excited to have our owner, Vern Hanson, leading this class. We expect it to be practical, useful and very entertaining.
Soon you will see Sewing Basics, 102 classes for both mechanical and computerized machines across all brands – Janome, Brother, Baby Lock, Nechhi and Elna. This second class will help our sewists get down to the business of sewing with their new machines, covering basic stitches and more. We’ve also begun both 101 and 102 classes for our Long Arm customers and will soon be adding classes for our embroidery-only machine and serger sewists.
And for all of you who have shared your desire for sewing, embroidery and technique training, we’re working on a 200-level series of classes for embroidery designs, scan and cut, sewing projects and more. If you have an idea for a class, please share it with us .
