A-Best services all makes and models of sewing machines and vacuums. Our trained and certified technicians provide services including essential, premium and overhaul.

SERVICE OPTIONS

ESSENTIAL

Basic cleaning, lubrication, and inspection. Helps keep a good running machine running well. Repairs, adjustments, calibrations, labor, and new parts are extra.

(In-Store coupons do not apply to the Essential Service)

PREMIUM

Deep cleaning and lubrication. Includes all adjustments, timing, calibrations, and labor for replacing minor Additional parts will be estimated and approved by the customer. One (1) year guarantee for labor.

OVERHAUL

Required when machine is bound, frozen, or when labor intensive parts need to be replaced or rebuilt. Includes premium service and labor for replacing major parts. One (1) year guarantee for labor.

Bring your machine to our store, or we provide pickup and delivery services weekly. We consistently serve a 50-mile radius with weekly pick-up and delivery for service including Albert Lea, Austin, Rochester, Owatonna, Waseca and more for a nominal $40 delivery fee (This includes pick-up and delivery).

Service Time Frame:

For vacuums, we quote an expected completion date of one week. For sewing machines, we quote a two-week time frame. Our service team does their best to stick within those expected completion dates. However, keep in mind, with shipping delays globally, there are times when ordering and receiving parts can extend those expected completion dates.

Priority Service Charge:

For those who cannot afford to be without their machine for one or two weeks, we do offer priority service for an additional charge. This bumps you to the front of the line and prioritizes your machine for repair ahead of everyone else.

Sewing Machines

• 1 week rush for an additional 25% of labor cost
• 48 hour rush for an additional 50% of labor cost

Vacuum Cleaners

• 48 hour rush for an additional 25% of labor cost

At A-Best, you can be confident that your sewing machine or vacuum cleaner will get the care and repair that is needed. And if you are interested in trading up to a newer model, we offer fair market trade-in value and trade-in discounts when you buy a new machine from A-Best.

A-Best recommends, at the very least, that you get an Essential Service once per year. That basic cleaning and lubrication can go a long way toward extending the life of your machine. Dependent upon how much you use your machine, visits to the service shop might be more frequent.

A-Best understands that a sewing machine is an investment. Our technicians have put together some of their top tips on how to care for your machine in between annual service visits.

Self-Service Tips Direct From Our Techs:

• Every 10-15 bobbins, clean out your bobbin case with a lint brush.
• Remove all dust from exposed parts at least once per week
• After cleaning, use quality sewing machine oil to keep the important parts of your machine lubricated. A-Best Recommends: Zoom Spout Oiler
• Keep your machine covered when it’s not in use to prevent dust build-up
• Change your needles regularly. Needles can become bent, broken, or dull over time.

Don’t worry if you aren’t quite sure what to do! A-Best offers a Sewing 101 – Setup and Maintenance Class through our education department. This class covers the basic setup and maintenance of your specific machine in a hands-on, classroom environment.
